Cambodian Students Win Medals from Science Program APT-JSO 5th 2016

ASEAN Plus Three Junior Science Odyssey (APT JSO) is an annual science and technology educational event, designed to promote and develop the talent of the young students aged between 13 to 15 years of age to become the future scientists and engineers.

The participants are junior high school students from the ten ASEAN countries, and China, Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Sweden. The event took place on June 12-18, 2016 at The University of the Philippines (UPLB), Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines, with the topic of “Climate Change and Rainforest”.

Cambodian team have won 1 gold medal, 4 silvers, and 4 bronzes in the APT-JSO competition. This is a brilliant result that comes from the efforts of Cambodian Students and teachers. It indicates the rise of Cambodian human resources, as well as the positive changes in that Cambodian education system, which are the keys to develop the country to become one of the developed country in the future.
