Japan provided US $256,317 for Promoting Education in Cambodia

The Government of Japan provided US$256,317 to the Association for Aid and Relief, Japan (AARJapan).

The grant contract was signed on July 4th, 2016 at the Embassy of Japan between H.E. Mr. KUMAMARU Yuji, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Ms. SONODA Tomoko, Country Director of AAR Japan.
AARJapan will promote inclusive education by creating barrier-free school environment and conducting teacher training for children with disabilities in Khsach Kandal Districtof Kandal Province, Cambodia.
AAR Japan was founded in 1979 by Yukika SOHMA, our first chairperson, with a mission to help refugees from Indochina, and as a civil organization without any political, religious, or ideological affiliations. It has since then grown into an international organization approved and registered by the United Nations.
